In preparation for the upcoming 2026 GWG Convention, Convention co-host Peter Starr and GWG East Coast Chapter President have each planned “pre-convention” drives to add to the fun!

If you are shipping or driving your car to the Convention, please read through this entire document to learn about airport locations, hotels and additional logistics to get to the Convention.

These additional drives are not included in the Convention Registration fee and are offered as an adjunct to the Convention.

2026 Convention at the Omni Mt Washington, NH

PRE-CONVENTION DRIVE & DETAILS

OPTION # 1 OF 2

All 2026 Gullwing Group Convention participants are invited to take part in a pre-convention day-drive from Biddeford, Maine to the convention hotel in Bretton Woods, NH on Tuesday, August 4th.

If you are shipping your car to the convention, it can be received at my warehouse at 20 Foss St, Biddeford, Maine 04005 and can be stored there for your arrival. Plan to have your car delivered on or before Monday, August 3rd.

Airports serving the area are the Portland, ME International Jetport (30 minutes away), the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport in NH (80 minutes away), and Logan International Airport in Boston, MA (90 minutes away). The Downeaster Amtrak train runs from North Station in Boston to Saco, ME and is a 4 block walk to the warehouse and takes 2 hours.

Land transportation can be arranged by phoning Limo Services of Maine at 207-807-4767 and speaking to Peter (please mention you’re referred by me). Also, Uber is available. If renting a car, Enterprise has a local drop off in Biddeford and is convenient.

The Lincoln Hotel (www.lincolnhotelmaine.com) is a modern, boutique hotel in the refurbished old mills of downtown Biddeford and is a 3 block walk from my garage. Please be sure to ask them about their various discounts and packages when booking. Alternately there are B&B’s in the neighboring town of Kennebunkport and more traditional hotels available in Biddeford and the adjoining town of Saco.

Plan to arrive no later than Monday, August 3rd as we will drive as a group to the Omni Mt Washington on Tuesday, August 4th and will have a lunch break along the way, with an anticipated stop at the Club Motorsports road course race track in Tamworth, NH as well.

Your car can be picked up directly at the Omni Mt Washington hotel at the conclusion of the convention on Sunday, August 9th or you can elect to drive back to Biddeford, Maine and it can be shipped from my warehouse by making appropriate arrangements directly with your transport company for that.
